Jerome Glenn, Co-Founder and CEO of The Millennium Project and Chair of the High-Level Expert Panel on Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) convened by the UN Council of Presidents of the General Assembly (UNCPGA), is scheduled to participate in two significant events in New York from September 19 to 26, 2025.

Glenn will join the Council of Presidents of the United Nations General Assembly, an esteemed forum comprising all living former Presidents of the General Assembly, along with the current President. The council serves to support the President of the General Assembly, provide institutional memory, and advance multilateralism through a revitalized General Assembly. Mariana Todorova, Chair of the Bulgaria Node of The Millennium Project and member of the High-Level Expert Panel on AGI, will also attend the meeting.
Multilateralism on a Crossroads Conference
Glenn is also slated to speak at the session of the XXXIV High-Level Meeting titled Multilateralism on a Crossroads: Challenges and Pathways to Peace, a side event to the UN General Assembly. This conference, scheduled for September 24–25 at the Harvard Club in New York, will feature discussions on the future of multilateralism, with a panel on September 25 focusing on “Technological Disruption: New Challenges for Global Governance.” Glenn will be joined by notable speakers, including Csaba Kőrösi, President of the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly; Milica Pejanović-Durisic, former Minister of Defense of Montenegro; Kerry Kennedy, President of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights; Egils Levits, former President of Latvia; and Boris Tadić, former President of Serbia. This conference if for former heads of state and UN agencies.
The UN Security Council will meet September 24 on AI and the AGI report is expected to be one of the discussion items. These engagements underscore The Millennium Project’s ongoing commitment to shaping global governance and addressing the challenges of technological disruption in the international arena.
