The Millennium Project was honored to participate in the “XIV International Academic Conference ‘Foresight and Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy“, which took place on October 28 and 29, 2024. Organized online by the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (ISSEK) at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE University), the conference gathered renowned Russian and international scientists and experts from 20 countries. Participants discussed best practices in foresight studies and examined the STI development prospects for various countries.
Representing The Millennium Project Project, Ibon Zugasti, Deputy Director and Spain Node Chair, spoke on “Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Global Governance,” basing his speech on the recent study on the governance of the transition to AGI by The Millennium Project. Moreover, David Wood, UK Node Co-Chair, discussed “The Future of Artificial Intelligence: Which Scenarios Deserve Most Attention?,” and José Luis Cordeiro, Venezuela Node Chair, presented “Sir Arthur C. Clarke and the Final Odyssey.”
