World Future Day is held every year on March 1st to spark a global conversation on the future. We want to make sure young people are also part of the conversation. After all, it is their future we are all talking about. Teach the Future & The Millennium Project, together with partners and friends, initiated the young voices edition, a parallel event to the main World Futures Day 24-hour conversation round-the-world.
If you want to hear future visions of youngsters and chat together about the future, then join our online session(s) all day round on March 1st.

24 hour conversations about the future
March 1st is World Futures Day. Together with partners from around the world we will be hosting live events on Zoom to inspire young people and imagine possible futures together. We will start broadcasting in New Zealand at 12:00 noon and continue our journey through different time-zones around the world like the Netherlands, the United States and Mexico, see the stops we make here.
We are scheduling a special session at -12 GMT/UTC (4 pm in the Pacific time zone) for young people (and adults) in Western Canada, the US and Mexico who might be in school at Noon on World Futures Day. The session will be facilitated by Ted Kahn and include his students at DesignWorlds. Join us if you can’t make it earlier.

World Future Day
World Future Day is an annual 24-hour conversation around the world initiated by the Millennium Project in 2014 after Humanity+ launched the Future Day celebration 12 years ago. They organize a 24-hour online worldwide conversation during this day where grown-ups discuss the future. The Millennium Project, a global foresight participatory think tank, will host this conversation for everyone in collaboration with the Association of Professional Futurists (APF), Humanity+, and the World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF).
Teach the Future
Teach the Future is a global movement that promotes futures literacy for students and educators. Their aspiration is that every young person is prepared to navigate an uncertain world and has the agency to imagine and create their preferred future. They do this by teaching futures-thinking skills to students and educators around the world and to inspire them to influence their futures.
Partners
Main inspirator and partner of the event is The Millennium Project. And of course, all our partners from all over the world that support young people and their future. KinderTrendrede Team, DesignWorlds for College and Careers, Future Problem Solving Program International , School of International Futures (SOIF) and more (see this link)
