Imagine a world where AI evolves from what we know today (Narrow AI) to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) —a level where machines think, learn, and make decisions like humans. Now, picture that same intelligence advancing to Artificial Superintelligence (ASI), surpassing human capabilities entirely. Could future world leaders be machines? Could AI finally unlock the cure for cancer? These are just some of the thought-provoking ideas discussed in Episode 1 of Pinoy Scientists on Radyo Agila Lakbay Kinabukasan.
The first episode of this new radio series featured Ibon Zugasti, Deputy Director and Spain Node Chair of The Millennium Project, hosted by Shermon Cruz, Philippines Node Chair, and Custer Deocaris on January 19, 2025. Together, they dived into the world of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)— a type of artificial intelligence (AI) that will surpasses human cognitive capabilities.
