The Pinoy Speculative Fiction Groups organizes a free webinar called “Visions of Tomorrow: Science Fiction as a Tool for Foresighting the Future Philippines” on April 13, Saturday, at 4 PM CST. The webinar wants to explore the intersection of sci-fi and existing technologies in envisioning the future of the country.
Guest speaker of the webinar is Shermon Ortega Cruz, Chair of the Philippines Node of The Millennium Project, CEO and Chief Futurist of the Center for Engaged Foresight, and UNESCO Chair on Anticipatory Governance and Regenerative Cities in the Philippines at Northwestern University. The discussion will focus on sci-fi as a tool of foresight.
