Mara Di Berardo, MP Comms Director and Italy Node Co-Chair, has recently published the following paper on the World Futures Review Journal (Volume 14, Issue 2-4): ”The World Future Day Method: A 24-hour Round-The-World Global Discussion” (DOI: https://doi.org/10.1177/19467567221090539)
The paper illustrates the World Future Day (now Futures), our 24-h round-the-world global conversation about the futures as a new kind of futures method. Launched for the first time by the Millennium Project in 2014, the WFD is an open large-scale global participatory discussion among self-selected future-oriented people from around the world.
The work introduces its main characteristics, the protocol of analysis, first considerations about its strengths and weaknesses, and the main results of the 2021 application on March 1.
The results are reported in form of suggestions and solutions aggregated in clusters and macro-clusters related to some of the global challenges facing humanity and set a common agenda for further discussion.
