The Millennium Project has published its November/December 2024 newsletter, featuring key updates, events, and publications shaping the future of global foresight. De Gruyter will release a new book on AGI Governance, edited by Jerome Glenn, in Spring 2025, based on Phases 1 and 2 of The Millennium Project’s study. The State of the Future 20.0 is now available in Arabic, with additional translations expected in 2025. The Millennium Project’s website is undergoing a redesign led by Chief Technology Officer Tad Davis to improve accessibility and user experience. An in-person launch event for the State of the Future 20.0 book will take place at the National Press Club in Washington DC in mid-February 2025.
Other noteworthy developments include the launch of the Iraq Node, hosted by Futurepreneurs Society, as well as new videos on the Global Challenges produced by the France Node, which expand the library of resources available on YouTube. Jerome Glenn’s 2024 Year in Review is now available, offering insights into major milestones from the past decade.
The newsletter also highlights upcoming events such as the 25th Futures Conference hosted by the Helsinki Node, the DSSR Conference coordinated by the Italy Node, and new foresight publications on data science, AI, and global challenges.
