Thank You for Making World Futures Day 2025 a Success!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in World Futures Day 2025! Over the course of 24 hours, futurists, thought leaders, and engaged citizens from around the globe came together to explore ideas, share insights, and discuss the challenges and opportunities that will shape our collective future.

From the transition to Artificial General Intelligence and the future of democracy to climate action, synthetic biology, and the role of future generations in decision-making—this year’s conversations were inspiring, thought-provoking, and filled with new connections and collaborations.

This year, nearly 900 participants registered, and we saw a total session participation of over 1,000 people, making it one of the most engaging and dynamic editions of WFD to date and showing that we truly need open discussion spaces to think together about our future.

A special thanks to our partner organizations—the Association of Professional Futurists (APF), Humanity+, the Lifeboat Foundation, the World Academy of Art and Science, and the World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF)—for making this global dialogue possible and for joining us along the 24 hours through representatives and members.

We are especially grateful to the volunteer facilitators who dedicated their time and energy to ensuring smooth discussions across different time zones, making it possible for participants from all over the world to engage meaningfully. Your contributions were invaluable!
