Cornelia Daheim, Chair of the MP Germany Node and Head of Future Impacts Consulting, will be one of the distinguished discussants in the upcoming “Strategic Foresight Workshop and quantification link for better future-oriented policymaking” taking place on November 23, 2021, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM CET.
This workshop is part of the 2021 EU Conference on Modelling for Policy Support, an event organized by the European Commission Competence Centre on Modelling (CC-MOD), running from November 22-26, 2021. The conference aims to advance discussions on how modelling can enhance evidence-based policymaking in Europe, with a special emphasis on integrating strategic foresight into these processes.
The Strategic Foresight Workshop will focus on the benefits of combining qualitative and quantitative foresight approaches in policymaking. By integrating exploratory methods and data-driven strategies, the workshop aims to demonstrate how foresight tools can create a more robust foundation for future-oriented policies. A key aspect of the discussion will be the engagement of policymakers and the incorporation of scientific expertise into the development of effective policy measures.
