Venice, Italy – May 14, 2025 – After one year of meetings and discussions, a new Italian partnership promoted by ASVIS, in collaboration with many other futures organizations and including Mara Di Berardo, Italy Node Co-Chair, among the members of the board, and the Italy Node of The Millennium Project and the FutureSIS group led by Simone Di Zio among the partners of the project, is set to launch Ecosistema Futuro, a new initiative aimed at placing the future at the forefront of public, political, and cultural discourse in Italy.
The launch will take place during the Future Day 2025 event, hosted at Procuratie Vecchie, Piazza San Marco, Venice, as part of the 9th edition of the Sustainable Development Festival promoted by the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS).
The event, curated and presented by journalist Riccardo Luna, will feature thought leaders from institutions, research centers, and the arts, as well as young innovators actively shaping the future of Italy. The morning conference will include keynote speeches from Enrico Giovannini, Scientific Director of ASviS, and Guy Ryder, UN Under-Secretary-General for Policy. The agenda will also spotlight eight young changemakers from the GIFT project (Youth, Commitment, Future, Territory), co-funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and promoted by Save the Children, ASviS, EDI, and Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
The afternoon will feature working tables to discuss the strategic implementation of Ecosistema Futuro, fostering collaboration among policymakers, researchers, and young visionaries. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to visit the interactive exhibition A World of Potential at the Casa di The Human Safety Net.
The event will be livestreamed on festivalsvilupposostenibile.it. For more information and to access the complete program, visit the newly launched www.ecosistemafuturo.it, live from 8:00 AM on May 14.
