The Italy Node of The Millennium Project is supporting the organization of the first Italian Summer School, coordinated by the Italian Institute for the Future, focused on some of the main quantitative methods in social foresight.
With the growth of the foresight field in the public and private sectors, both nationally and internationally, there is an increasing need to apply methodologies based on qualitative-quantitative data to make scenario planning more robust while complementing them with quantitative analyses of the evolution of megatrends, emerging phenomena, and wild cards.
This Italian Summer School in Futures Studies aims to provide participants with the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to be able to immediately apply advanced quantitative tools in their own professional contexts. Through a faculty that includes some of Italy’s leading experts in futures studies and statistics applied to social foresight, such as the Italian Node Co-Chairs and other distinguished statisticians, the Summer School is designed to combine the pleasure of a summer stay in a charming old village in the Sannio region with a high level of training, hands-on workshops, networking experiences, and possibility of access to follow-up tracks with integrative activities and customized coaching in the months to follow.
The school will be held from Monday, August 29, to Friday, September 2, 2022, in Molinara, close to Benevento.
Registrations are open until July 15. Info on https://www.instituteforthefuture.it/summer-school-2022/
