The Spanish translation of State of the Future 20.0, the flagship publication of The Millennium Project, was officially launched on September 25, 2025, during the RIBER 2025 Congress: Futures for El Salvador and Ibero-America, held at Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas (UCA) in San Salvador. The event brought together scholars, policymakers, and futurists from across Latin America to discuss emerging global trends and the region’s future challenges.
The launch was presented by Concepción Olavarrieta, Mexico Node Co-Chair, Verónica Ágreda, Bolivia Node Chair, and Guillermo Gándara, RIBER President. They highlighted the importance of the State of the Future 20.0 report as a key resource for governments, businesses, and civil society in the region seeking to anticipate trends and plan strategically for the coming decades.
The event included in-depth discussions on global foresight, technological innovation, sustainable development, and the social, economic, and environmental challenges facing Latin America. Participants had the opportunity to engage directly with the ideas and findings presented in the report, exploring how these insights can inform decision-making and long-term planning in the region.
The Spanish translation of State of the Future 20.0 makes this internationally recognized report accessible to Spanish-speaking researchers, policymakers, and the wider community interested in global futures.
