Mariana Todorova, Chair of the Bulgarian Node and Mihail Mihailov, CEO of Accelerise corporation brought me to Sofia to speak about “Future Smart Cities.” Mariana organized a radio interview for the main lunch time show: http://darikradio.bg/kak-izkustveniat-intelekt-ste-promena-zivota-ni.html and TV interviews – here are two in case you are curious about how The Millennium Project sounds in Bulgarian: (17 minutes, 30 seconds into this): https://play.nova.bg/programi/subudi-se/955391?autostart=true and

Mariana also set up meetings with: 1) the Coordinator of Digital Transition for the City Council of Sofia; 2) the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Sofia TechPark; 3) a proponent of new uses of crypto currency to support universal basic income (yes, Hazel and Youngsook have been contacted); and 4) a group of thought leaders in social media and education. Participants from the talk and meetings will be working with Mariana, Mihala, and the mayor’s office to create the Bulgarian future work/tech workshop. The three media interviewers said they would participate in the press conference for the conclusion of the workshop. Other Millennium Project–Bulgarian collaborations are also in development, including the Bulgarian translation of the State of the Future 19.1.
