The UAE Ministry of Finance brought our MP CEO Jerome Glenn to Dubai on February 6-11, 2022 to video tape his comments on the future issues and possibilities for finance to be part of a documentary for Innovations Month*.
This was arranged by Tariq Qureishy (business associate of Paul Epping, Dutch Node Chair). Muhammad Al Mheiri (Dubai Node Chair) arranged a very good meeting with the Dubai Future Foundation to discuss the Foundation’s becoming the institutional host for the Dubai Node, and possibly hosting the next MPPC meeting and other forms of support. The DFF plans to become the global hub for futures activities inviting the MP along with WFSF, APF, and others to be part of their World Future Council. More on that as plans develop.
The Museum of the Future will open later this month, and there were some last finishing touches being completed. Jose Cordeiro will be coming then so should be there for the opening. If you haven’t had a chance to go, you might google it, as there are so good video overviews. Also had a delightful catchup meeting Markku Wilenius, who has just left be the head of the Futures Academy of the DFF. The DFF Futures Academy seems that it will be folded into a new governance unit of the Foundation. And yes, last but not least, Glenn got to be a tourist at the Dubai World EXPO as a VIP with electric car thanks to Muhammad’s wife who is the head of the oil company’s Pavilion.
