Mini Trip Report: Dubai, UAE December 7-9, 2019

The Dubai Future Council on Transportation brought me back for the fourth meeting for this year to review and discuss long-range plans. The Council is expected to meet four times in 2020 as well.

After this review, I meet with Dr. Sara Ishaq A Mohammad, Manager of the Future Envisioning Section for the DG & Chairman Office of the Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA) who is now the new Co-Chair of the Dubai Node in preparation for the Dubai Node Meeting.

The following day, six Members of the Dubai Node met to discuss priorities including a potential Millennium Project meeting in Dubai, the application of anticipatory governance to the transition from artificial narrow to artificial general intelligence proposal concept, and other initiatives to be pursued with the Dubai Future Foundation and Ministry of Artificial Intelligence.

Muhammad Al Mheiri, Chair of the Dubai Node took me to see the Global Village Dubai – this is really spectacular – I recommend it for your next visit to Dubai – it is a cross between Disneyland and a giant international shopping mall.
