Mini Trip Report: Dubai

The Dubai Future Council on Transportation brought me to Dubai to begin reviewing long-range strategies for the Roads and Transportation Authority. As a Member of the Council I will meet four times a year for two years (I will return this June for the second meeting).

I then met separately with the head of foresight for RTA to begin relations with The Millennium Project.

Dubai Node Co-chair Paul Epping asked me to stay on a few more days to speak at the Open Exponential Organizations (ExO) Summit and participate in their workshops. This is a unique organization headed by Salim Ismail former director of Singularity University to dramatically grow organizations using new technologies and concepts of exponential growth popularized at SU http://www.openexodubai.com/. Salim will be appointing a liaison to develop synergies with The Millennium Project.

I also got to catch up with Muhammad Al Mheiri the new Millennium Project Co-Chair in Dubai who is working on his Masters Degree in Futures Research and was on the “Future Talk) Pulse95 Radio show (the podcast of the show is available at:
