The UN Council of Presidents of the General Assembly brought me to Bratislava to present the AGI Panel’s report: Governance of the Transition to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Urgent Considerations for the UN General Assembly. It was very well received, but one of the former Presidents of the UNGA asked that a paragraph be added in the report’s relation to other UN related initiatives. Once that is done and approved, I should be able to share it. Attached is the Bratislava Declaration from this meeting. Page 3 paragraph 3 notes that The Council…welcomes the interim report by UNCPGA’s High-level Expert Panel on Artificial General Intelligence appointed by the Chairman of the Council.
Ivan Klinec, Chair of The Millennium Project Slovakia Node organized a launch of the State of the Future 20.0 in cooperation with the Slovak Association for the Club of Rome, Institute for Economic Research and Mathematical Institute of the Slovakian Academy of Science, and Society for Sustainable Living. Pavel Novacek, Chair of the Czech Node came from Olomouc to join the meeting. I stopped in Vienna on way back to Washington to give a talk to the Austrian Institute of Technology on the State of the Future 20.0 and some of the AGI work with the UN Council.
