The 2022 edition of the Ljubljana Forum, chaired by GFS – GoForeSight Institute hosting the Slovenia Node of The Millennium Project, will take place in Ljubljana in October, 6-7. The Ljubljana Forum is an annual gathering that combines knowledge and experience of city governance and defines key areas, visions and strategies of the future development of cities. The objectives of the Forum are to connect, enable and encourage good practice cases and concrete cooperation among different stakeholders.
Blaž Golob, chairman of the Forum and Slovenia and CEN Nodes, will give the opening and introduction on the first day of the forum and moderate the final round table on “Digital entrepreneurship for Climate & Smart Cities in 2030” on the second day . Ibon Zugasti, Spain and RIBER Nodes, will give a keynote speech during the Session I of the first day called “Cities as leaders of the New Economy in 2030”. Frane Šesnić, Croatia Node, will moderate sessions V and VI of the forum. Tihomir Divjak, Serbia Node, will introduce a project called “From Smart City to Smart Region via Satellite IoT during session VI on the 2nd day. A specific session on the second day called “Business morning coffee on business development and foresight” from 8.15 to 9.00 am, will introduce the Millennium Project and the Foresight Europe Network Node activities.
The Ljubljana Forum is an international gathering of city mayors and city leaders, The Millennium Project, Regional Cooperation Council, European Commission and European Parliament, European Investment Bank, government representatives, industry representatives, R&D and University representatives and civil society partners. From the very beginning, partners of Ljubljana Forum are creating the evolving model of the ”City of the Future”.
