A new publication including the process and results of the Inspire 2023 project at MOMus is now available online for free. Inspire was launched in 2023 by the Museum of Contemporary Art-Collections of Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art and State Museum of Contemporary Art (MOMus) and organized by the UNESCO Chair on Futures Research in collaboration with The Millennium Project within the Inspire Project, marked a significant evolution in merging art with future studies. This iteration expanded to include 40 young artists and introduced the theme of future scenarios, aiming to foster collaborations between art and scientific fields.
The project included workshops for young artists focused on future scenarios, particularly the 3 scenarios contained in The Millennium Project’ Work/Tech 2050 study, and an art exhibition at the MOMus called “Intensity. Future scenarios and other stories” with the outputs of the workshops and guests.
Through participatory workshops, artists explored alternative futures, engaging deeply with foresight tools and creating art that reflects potential future realities. This approach not only enriched artistic creation but also aimed to bridge the gap between art and science, demonstrating the potential for such interdisciplinary collaborations to inform and inspire broader discussions about the future.
The publication is in Greek and English and contains the 3 scenarios on the futures of Work/Tech 2050 by The Millennium Project. Download here: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/377951722_MOMus_INSPIRE_2023
