The Millennium Project and the France Node, hosted by the Prospective Foresight Network recently developed a new story telling video on the scenario 3, “If Humans Were Free – The Self-Actualization Economy” included in the “Work/Tech 2050. Scenarios and Actions” study by The Millennium Project.

The video, in French and developed by using AI, tells about a possible positive future where governments anticipated the impacts of AGI, conducted extensive research on how to implement universal basic income systems, and promoted self-employment, and where artists, media moguls, and entertainment comedians helped foster the cultural shift from a job-oriented culture to a self-actualization economy.

The Work/Technology 2050 study includes three detailed global scenarios, such as the business as usual “It’s Complicated—A Mixed Bag” and the more negative “Political/Economic Turmoil—Future Despair”, used for national workshops to identify actions to address the issues raised in the three scenarios, and 93 actions assessed by futurists and related experts around the world using five Real-Time Delphi studies — one each for actions by government, business and labor, education and learning, arts and media, and science and technology communities.
