Futures Week, hosted in La Paz and Santa Cruz, Bolivia, on September 25-29, 2023, is a week of co-creation of futures to discover the potential of different realities that will help us build the world that we all dream of. The event, organized by the Franz Tamayo University, UNIFRANZ, chairing the Bolivia Node of The Millennium Project, will host presentations, round tables, and more.
During the Futures Week, the Mexico and the Bolivia Nodes will be launching their new publication on “Latin America by 2050. Challenges, Scenarios and Actions“, with speakers from the Mexico Node (Concepcion Olavarrieta and Guillermo Gándara, Coordinators and authors), and the Bolivia Node (Verónica Agreda, Rector of Universidad UNIFRANZ, publisher of the book and Chair of the Node) joining the discussion.
“Latin America by 2050. Challenges, Scenarios and Actions” is the first regional book based on the 15 MP Challenges facing humanity by The Millennium Project. 25 Latin America authors made a diagnosis of the situation in relation to Latin America and on its holistic impact in the region. They propose 3 Scenarios and Key actions to positively reorient its development to reach the best future. This book is a replicable model that other MP regions in the world can take as an example.
