
Futures Conference 2025 with Jerome Glenn – June 10-12, 2025

The highly anticipated Futures Conference 2025 on Futures of Technologies is set to take place inn June 10–12, 2025, in Turku. The 25th anniversary of this international conference will bring together thought leaders, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to explore the latest advancements in futures thinking, methodologies, and practical applications.
The conference aims to generate multidisciplinary, stimulating and critical discussions concerning futures of technologies through keynote lectures, parallel sessions, and participatory workshops.
Keynote speakers for the event from The Millennium Project are Jerome Glenn, CEO of The Millennium Project, that will provide invaluable insights into the global challenges and opportunities of the future, making his address the key highlights of the conference, and Rohit Talwar, Co-Chair of the UK Node, together with many other distinguished guests.
Toni Ahlqvist, Co-Chair of the Helsinki Node, will open the event and join other satellite sessions along the conference. On the first day, 4CF, Poland Node of The Millennium Project, with Anna Sacio-Szymańska, Norbert Kolos, and others will join the session on Bridging foresight and management: futures studies approach in management practices, with a talk on Beyond prediction: the complexities and rewards of applied foresight (53P).
On the second day, Sirkka Heinonen, Co-Chair of the Helsinki Node, will lead The Millennium Project Special Session on The radical and the resilient – Narratives to highlight the road to diverse futures of work, with contribution from Osmo Kuusi and other members of the Node. Osmo Kuusi, Co-Chair of the Helsinki, will be also contributing to other sessions along the conference.
On the third day, the Italy Node, represented by its Co-Chair Mara Di Berardo, will join the session on Novel methods of analysing data and creating scenarios – Case studies, with a talk on Advancing Delphi Studies exploring visual methods for future scenario representation.
The conference is co-organized by the Finland Node of The Millennium Project, hosted by the Finland Futures Research Centre and featuring Sirkka Heinonen and Toni Ahlqvist among others, and by the Finland Futures Academy, University of Turku, and the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd.
