First steps for Artificial General Intelligence governance study have begun

The Millennium Project Study of International Governance Issues for Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is beginning with two small steps:
1) The Millennium Project has received an unsolicited small grant from the Future of Life Institute; and
2) a personal service contract to Jerome Glenn to write a paper on AGI for the European Commission via the Austrian Institute of Technology as input to the EC Horizon program 2024-2027.
This initial funding begins the literature search and identifying of some issues like the initial conditions for AGI.
