Congreso del Futuro by RIBER at El Salvador – September, 2025

On September 25 and 26, 2025, El Salvador Node will host one of the most important foresight event in Ibero-America: the Futures Congress, organized by the Ibero-American Foresight Network (RIBER), in partnership with CIESCE and INNBOX, at the campus of the José Simeón Cañas Central American University (UCA).
In this edition, RIBER celebrates its 10 years anniversary by reflecting on the challenges and opportunities facing Ibero-America and El Salvador toward 2050. The conference will explore key topics such as: Sustainability, cities, and migration, Artificial intelligence, energy, and emerging technologies, Climate change and biodiversity, Anticipatory governance and public policies, Educational innovation and futures methodologies, Security and organized crime.
RIBER members and the general community are encouraged to submit abstracts for the conference in the following categories by May 15, 2025:
- Books: Presentation of books related to any of the fields of futures exploration published in 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025.
- Research Papers: Theoretical and/or empirical research in any of the fields of futures exploration.
- Practical Experiences: Case studies of futures exploration in Ibero-America focusing on the interactions between applied research or consulting and public or private organizations, civil society, global agenda, etc.
