The Conference on European Statistics Stakeholders will take place in Rome in October 20-21. The scope of the Conference is to enhance the dialogue among European methodologists, producers, and users of European Statistics identifying the requirements of the users (ESAC), the best practices of the production (EUROSTAT, ECB, ISTAT, Banca d’Italia), with innovative ways of official statistics production based on Statistics, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence, and based on new methodological ideas for collecting and analyzing data (Accademia via FENStatS).
Simone Di Zio, Co-Chair of the Italy Node of The Millennium Project, will be one of the speakers for the panel on “S27 Data science skills for the next generation of Statisticians” (Oct. 21 at 2.30 pm CEST) chaired by Giorgio Vittadini, University Milano Bicocca, aiming at stimulating the debate about the future of statistics in relation to futures studies, trying to understand how to improve the role of future data scientists.
The Conference is organized by European Statistical Advisory Committee (ESAC), EUROSTAT, European Central Bank (ECB), Federation of European National Statistical Societies (FENStatS).
