A gathering on the 20th anniversary of the Association of Professional Futurists is taking place in Washington DC from July 13 to July 16. The gathering is focusing on how to lean into the resources of the Washington DC Metro area (the “DMV”) to explore how the forces of inclusion and decentralization will impact decisions guiding the appropriate use of these technologies in communities, companies, and nations.

For the occasion, Jerome Glenn is giving a speech on Artificial General Intelligence and Governance Models, reporting on the recent updates of The Millennium Project ongoing study on the topic.

The meeting, with the participation of Shermon Cruz, Philippines Node and APF Chairman, among others, will end with a discussion about what these technologies mean for the professional futurist, how to use these new tools and for whom, and how to experiment safely and find the best ways to serve our internal or external clients.
