Futures Week®, hosted in the city of El Alto, Bolivia, in September 27-30, 2022, is a week of co-creation of futures that will bring together young leaders from El Alto as protagonists of the transformation of their city into a friendly and sustainable city towards the year 2030, together with national and international experts.
The purpose of Futures Week® is to directly impact the sustainability and resilience of cities and the empowerment of young people to actively participate in the construction of a model city, together with local leaders and actors, by co-creating scenarios.
The event, at its fifth edition, is hold by the Franz Tamayo University, UNIFRANZ, chairing the Bolivia Node of The Millennium Project with Verónica Ágreda de Pazos and the RIBER Node, with the support of The Millennium Project,
Futures Week® begins its preparatory days on September 23, with representatives of different educational units, of the United Nations Development Program in Bolivia (UNDP), and of UNIFRANZ educators constituting the work tables based on the axes of health, education, environment, work and cities of the future. After the week of the future, they will present the conclusions with proposals for the development of the city.
Jerome Glenn, CEO of The Millennium Project, will be one of the key speakers for the co-creation of the future week, together with many others, such as Luciana Memet, UNDP, Beno Juarez, Fat.Lab, and Ricardo Román, Alberto Blest Gana School.
