Mini Trip Report: Dubai, UAE

The Future Council for Transportation brought me to Dubai for the second meeting of the Council (June 23rd) to review long-range priorities of the Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA). RTA is considering whether it will host the next MP Planning Committee Meeting in Dubai. Hind AlMualla, Chair of The Millennium Project Dubai Node is also considering possibilities for this annual meeting. Hind was also appointed to another Dubai Future Council, the one for Education; hence, we might be able to coordinate between the two Dubai Future Councils. I also met with Dubai Node co-Chairs Muhammad Al Mheiri and Paul Epping about additional activities in Dubai, that could be held if we hold the annual meeting there. Since I would come back to Dubai for the third meeting of the Transportation Council scheduled for September 8th Hind, Muhammad, and Paul discussed the idea of holding the Dubai launch of the Work/Technology 2050: Scenarios and Actions at that time.
