- ARtificial General Intellignece, Singularity Net, Turkey Node, Work Technology 2050
By Jerome Glenn
Ben Goertzel’s Beneficial Artificial General Intelligence Summit brought me to Istanbul to share status of the AGI governance with the United Nations (pptx attached). Jose Cordeiro and David Wood also spoke at this gathering of the more creative, decentralized advocates approach to AGI development. They tend to believe that AGI will lead to the greatest concentration of power the world has ever known, unless some decentralized approaches and international coordination succeed.
While there I had great conversations with Ufuk and other members of the Turkiye Node and former Intern Yeliz who just submitted her PhD thesis on AGI regulations. The Turkish publisher that I met at the Frankfurt Book Fair met with Ufuk and me confirming that he will publish the Turkish version of the Global Governance of the Transition to Artificial General Intelligence (Ben wrote an excellent forward to the book) and the State of the Future 20.0. He would like to be The Millennium Project Turkish publisher for other MP research including the Work/Technology 2050: Scenarios and Actions. Now back to Washington, D.C. to catch up on tons of emails.
