Charles Thomas (Tom) Perrottet, Member of the Millennium Project Board of Directors from the beginning, died on the morning of January 3, 2025. He was a very decent man loved by all. Charles was with Ted Gordon in the Futures Group and then later was a founding principal of the Futures Strategy Group.
Charles was an excellent futurist, for the past decades working mostly on geopolitical strategy and security issues; but above all, he was a real GENTLEMAN, a great thinker, a walking encyclopedia, and a person of impeccable ethics. He was very funny, cheerful, and always optimistic.
He appreciated The Millennium Project so much, that he sent his son Michael (now Colonel in the US Marine Corps) to be an intern with us; and not surprisingly, Michael was one of the best we had.
In September 2024, Charles attended the Millennium Project Planning Committee Meeting in Monterey, Mexico, his last meeting with the group he loved and supported so much!
Charles will be highly missed.
