The Italy Node of The Millennium Project invites researchers, futurists, and policymakers to submit abstracts for the 5th edition of the Data Science and Social Research – DSSR Conference, scheduled from February 19–21, 2025, at the University of Gabriele d’Annunzio’s Pescara Campus (Italy).
This year’s conference, coordinated by Simone Di Zio, Italy Node Co-Chair, will explore the transformative impact of the “data revolution” on social research, fostering discussions on emerging data sources and their role in addressing critical challenges like sustainable development, social inequalities, public health, communication, and future studies. The event will review the current state of social data science and identify its future directions, with an emphasis on integrating domain-specific knowledge to enhance research insights.
Participants will engage with key topics, including qualitative and quantitative aspects of new data, ethical considerations in their use, and the training of future professionals in social data science. This interdisciplinary platform encourages collaboration between social data scientists, traditional social researchers, and other experts to shape the future of this dynamic field.
Abstract submissions are open until December 31, 2024. Don’t miss the chance to contribute to the conversation and connect with global experts.
