For those who arrived early enough, we held an informal meeting about AGI and other work of The Millennium Project. Paul Saffo took the photo above, hence, he is not in it.
Several Node Chairs are also members of the Dubai Futures Foundation’s Global Futures Society that held a planning session to collect ideas about next steps for the Dubai Futures Forum. All participants in both the GFS and the Forum were invited to give feedback on the Forum. If you would like to make suggestions, email them to Eman Alkadi eman.alkadi@dubaifuture.gov.ae.
Ibon Zugasti, Sirkka Heinonen, Jose Cordeiro, and I conducted a three-hour session on “Global Futures Research.” We presented the State of the Future 20.0, up-dated progress and next steps on governing the transition to artificial general intelligence, shared how The Millennium Project manages a global futures research system, explained the international movement on Parliamentary Committees for the Future, and listed 26 ways to better connect futures research and decisionmaking.
According to Trendingview 2 million people watched the Dubai Future Forum on streaming video. Unfortunately, The Millennium Project session was not part of the live stream. Maybe next year.
