The V Prospecta Argentina 2024, taking place at the National University of La Pampa in Santa Rosa on October 24-25, will focus on “Building Alternatives for a New Era.” The event is co-organized by the Center for Foresight Studies of Cuyo, hosting the Mendoza SubNode part of the Argentina Node, with the support of The Millennium Project and RIBER. The event will feature presentations, discussions, and contributions from academics and professionals across Latin America. Participants are encouraged to submit their extended abstracts by June 2024.

As part of the V Prospecta Argentina 2024 event, a special panel titled “Global Pact for the Future: Perspectives and Implications for Latin America and the Caribbean” will take place on October 25th. The session will focus on concrete proposals to accelerate the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and will feature renowned speakers, including Ibon Zugasti, Deputy Director and Spain Node Chair, and and Héctor Casanueva, Chile Node Chair, who recently co-authored an article illustrating the main contents of the Pact of the Future. The panel will be moderated by Luis Ragno of the Center for Prospective Studies at the National University of Cuyo, Co-Chair of the Mendoza SubNode.

This hybrid event, accessible both in-person and virtually, aims to explore innovative solutions in response to the profound changes of our time.
