We are excited to announce the release of a new video on Global Challenge 1: How can sustainable development be achieved for all while addressing global climate change?, as part of The Millennium Project’s series on the 15 Global Challenges included in the recent State of the Future 20.0 publication, courtesy of the France Node.
The video on Global Challenge 1 delves into the pressing challenges of sustainable development and climate change, as highlighted by recent global events. With agreements like COP28’s transition away from fossil fuels and the urgent warnings from the IPCC report about halving GHG emissions by 2030, the video presents critical insights into the world’s progress—or lack thereof—in addressing climate change.
Despite global efforts, emissions are still rising, and climate-induced migration is expected to affect over 200 million people by 2050. The challenge also discusses innovative solutions, including sustainability investments and global initiatives, to combat these challenges.
We will release a video on the 15 global challenges every Monday as a premiere on our Youtube channel! Join the conversation as we explore how to turn around these trends and secure a sustainable future for all: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxdcZVRN9bie1LDs9AkJe7f3_3FQgmvk9
