The Ljubljana Forum 2024 on Futures For Cities AI and the model of Ideal City is set to take place on October 3, 2024, at the Ljubljana Castle, Slovenia. This significant event will bring together global leaders, city developers, policymakers, and experts to discuss city challenges, futures scenarios and the role of new emerging technologies such us AI in international relations and global governance. The Ljubljana Forum brings together annually Southeastern Europe Millennium Project Nodes together with European Investment Bank to discuss their sustainability and smart city projects and opportunities for their financing.
Organized by GoForesight Institute GFS the Slovenia Node of The Millennium Project and City Of Ljubljana – European Green Capital 2016, the Ljubljana Forum 2024 is an annual gathering that combines knowledge and experience of city governance and defines key areas, visions and strategies of the future development of cities. The objectives of the Forum are to connect, enable and encourage good practice cases and concrete cooperation among different stakeholders, and will include contributions from prominent diplomats, scholars, and industry specialists.
One of the highlights of the forum will be the session focused on the launch of the Millennium Project 2024 State of the Future Report 20.0, moderated by Jadranka Jezeršek Turnes (Kontekst Institute), which will provide a comprehensive overview of future scenarios and strategic recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders included in the State of the Future 20.0.
