The Brazil Node researchers Gustavo Machado and Diego Maffazzioli recently developed and launched an AI Disaster Management Assistant for Rio Grande do Sul climate catastrophe in Brazil, July 2024. This is a pioneer initiative from the Innovation, Startups, and Scale-ups Thematic Commission of the Board Academy, an Advisory Board Certificate School.
The virtual assistant offers comprehensive disaster management support, synthesizing documents, integrating diverse data, providing best practices, technical guides, and policy updates, and aims at helping private and public actors to enhance disaster resilience and sustainable growth in the region.
The next initiative will include a strategic planning for the region integrating Foresight and AI.
