The Anticipation 24 conference, taking place at Lancaster University, UK, on September 11-14, 2024, will explore how ideas of the future inform action in the present, in terms of new understandings, framings, skills, imaginaries and means of instigating positive change for future generations.

Among the speakers of the conference, Adrian Pop, Romania Node Chair, will discuss “Anticipating geopolitical change in the context of complexity” during session 17 on June 12, and Epaminondas Christophilopoulos, Greece Node Chair, will discuss “Speculative Pasts and Futures” during session 23 on the same day. On the next day, Lena Tunkers, FEN Future President, will discuss “Without words: sensing future” during session 45, and Toni Ahlqvist, Helnsinki Node Co-Chair, will discuss “Who are the ’future generations’? Searching for the demos from an epistemic perspective” during session 47.
