The World Futures Studies Federation XXV World Conference on “Exploring Liminalities. Creating Spaces for Unlimited Futures” will take place in Paris October, 25-26, 2023 at the École des Ponts Business School, Paris, France. Two full days, two days of pre-conference activities, five separate halls of programming involving world-leading thinkers, ground-breaking keynotes, scientific papers, panels, workshops, open debate and networking. Outside those hours, there are pre-conference side-events and activities free of charge on October 23-24, 2023 and other events and online sessions on the 27th.

Many experts from The Millennium Project will join the conference in person. Rosa Alegria, Brazil Node Chair, will be giving a speech on “Youth futures: from fear to hope”. José L. Cordeiro, Venezuela Node and RIBER Chair, will give a speech on “The Future of the Future: Transhumanism, Immortality and the Technological Singularity”. Seren Dalkiran, Dutch Node member, will give a speech on “Exploring New Leadership Paradigms through NextGen Foresight”. Kacper Nosarzewiski, Poland Node Co-Chair, will give a speech on “Interactive speculative futures – the benefits of gamebooks”. Another member of the Dutch Node, Yashar Saghai, will give a speech on “Exploring the liminal space between stories and arguments in normative scenarios and visions”. The Helsinki Node of The Millennium Project will run a workshop on “Transformative Futures of Peace and Work – Paradoxes and Polycomplexities”, with Sirkka Heinone, Node Chair, among the facilitators.

For the online sessions of the conference, Lena Tünkers, Foresight Europe Network Vice President, will give a speech about “Futuristic artefacts: Water – a living being” and about “Without Words: Sensing the Future” with others; Mara Di Berardo, Italy Node Co-Chair, will join the 2023 Masini seminar Futures Sisters to share the important legacy of Eleonora Barbieri Masini from a personal point of view; Javier Vitale, Mendoza Co-Chair – Argentina Node, will run a workshop on “Latin American Gathering” on the 27.
