Simone Di Zio, Italy Node Co-Chair, will be joining the 52nd Scientific Meeting of the Italian Statistical Society at the University of Bari Aldo Moro in Italy from June 17 to June 20, 2024. The conference is focused on contributions related to statistical and demographic research, along with the associated methodological and applied fields.
Di Zio will organize the session on “Emerging trends in statistical methods for future studies“, where he will be also illustrating, together with Yuri Calleo and Francesco Pilla, findings on “Statistical modelling of spatial consensus adopting Real-Time Spatial Delphi and Generative Adversarial Networks for the development of future scenarios”, and, together with Yuri Calleo and Leonardo Salvatore Alaimo, “Measuring the State of the Future in the European Union countries: comparing different methods”.
During the session, Mario Bolzan, Italy Node member, together with Manuela Scioni and Marco Marozzi, will discuss some first consideration on a project on “Futures studies and artificial intelligence: first results of an experimental collaborative approach”, developed in collaboration with the Millennium Project.

Simone Di Zio is also founder and coordinator of a new group called “Future Sis” launched within the SIS and focused on Statistical Methodologies for futures studies and strategic foresight,
