Epaminondas Christophilopoulos, Chair of the Greece Node of The Millennium Project, and Shermon Cruz, Chair of the Philippines Node, will be participating in the 3rd Annual UNESCO-PMU Symposium, themed “Priority Youth: Futures and Foresight for Inclusive Decision-Making,” taking place in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, on June 26-27, 2024.

Christophilopoulos will be joining the session on “In Conversation with Deon Cloete“, Head of the Futures Programme at the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), South Africa, on June 26, discussing on “Youth and Social Justice Futures: Re-imagining Skills and Training Needs in East and Southern Africa” and on “African Youth Futures for Systemic Justice: Co-creating Skills Anticipation Praxis with Youth Innovators”. Christophilopoulos will be also moderating the session on “Engaging Youth through Collective Intelligence – Futures Methods” on June 27, focusing on futures methodologies that can be employed to engage youth and generate collective intelligence to shape inclusive decision-making. 

Cruz will be joining the session on “ Spotlight – Playing with Possibilities: Enhancing Foresight Skills in Filipino Youth Leaders through the Dreams and Disruptions Game” on June 26, together with Jezreel Larry Caunca.

This symposium marks Christophilopoulos’ third foresight-related conference this month. He also contributed to the ICESCO Forum in Baku and the IEEE/Council of Europe panel discussion at EURODIG 2024 in Vilnius. Shermon Cruz has been giving many workshops on the Dreams and Disruptions Game, and another will be run for the Foresight Europe Network Demo Hour on July 11, 2024.
